Howdy!
I am a 30-something costumer and paramedic – but a nomad at heart. I am also a Gemini and in typical Gemini fashion, I balance a multitude of different facets and interests. Over the years, this variety has manifested into their own identities. Each of my websites above explore those individual aspects though some of my hobbies overlap, such as my amateur photography. Overall, there’s no doubt that my life is quite interesting and I strive to do the best to make it my own.
My love for theatre and costuming began at an early age and blossomed at school, leading me to eventually graduate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Theater. Since then, I have explored and worked in all areas of theatre from onstage to backstage, but found myself a niche in costuming and historical clothing. As a result of my work, I established my own costuming & theatrical design business, Deibert Designs and now display my portfolio online.
My drive to help others started years ago working as a lifeguard, then progressed to the next level when I became an EMT. I took the next step on that path when I returned to school, earned my A.S. Paramedic, and worked on the ambulance as a Paramedic. But while on a holiday in Europe, the stable life I had created was thrown into chaos when my company went bankrupt and closed overnight. It took me a few months, but I eventually realised that I did not want to feel stuck anywhere. Instead, I wanted to control and decide where and for how long something lasts. So I embraced that inner urge to explore and began traveling the world in 2017. I had previously blogged about my travels, but I created Nomadic Costumer to better share my experiences and travels.
The third site is my most recent endeavour. As an out gay male, my fascination with movies morphed over the years into establishing a rather large collection of films & shorts within the gay-themed movie niche. While there are many movie review sites, very few focus and go into depth and many of the films in my collection were often overlooked. So I established Queer Film Reviews with the goal to review and share my massive queer film collection.
